Worldmark International, the global supplier of data labels and identification products for the electronics and the telecommunications industries, has been sold by Bridgepoint to Barclays Private Equity for an undisclosed sum.
The business, which was the subject of a buyout from the Jarvis Porter Group in November 1999, is headquartered in Scotland and employs 850 people. For the year ended 31 December 2005, the business had revenues of £41.6 million and EBITDA of £6.5 million.
Worldmark International has three design centres in East Kilbride, Scotland, Illinois, USA and Singapore. These design centres are supported by six manufacturing sites in East Kilbride Scotland, Badhovedorf in Holland, Tatabanya in Hungary, Guadalajara in Mexico, Suzhou and Tianjin in China.
